It is reportedly one of the most disastrous transfer windows for Barcelona as they took a couple of days to digest the fact that they got snubbed by Nico Williams as he renewed his contract with Athletic Bilbao in a covert manner, yet the La Liga giants are keen on bringing an explosive left winger in this summer.

Going further, multiple reports are suggesting that Barça have understood that Liverpool will not sell their star player Luis Díaz this summer, which leaves the Catalan giants with no other option but to go “all-in” for Marcus Rashford, who has become their top priority at this moment.

Why do Barcelona want a 27-year-old Marcus Rashford?

There is no doubt that Hansi Flick can help Rashford to regain his old form while he has been struggling with dips in his illustrious Manchester United career.

It is being said that a deal for the 27-year-old England international will be significantly simpler than the Luis Díaz one, given United’s desperation to part ways with their homegrown talent, which certainly makes him a stronger candidate for this move to Camp Nou.

However, his fate hangs in the balance as Barcelona are prepared to offer a season-long loan deal with an included buy-back clause for the next summer, while Manchester United would like to sever all the bonds with Rashford via permanent transfer.

According to Barca Blaugranes, new United boss Ruben Amorim has already given the green light for this sale, which leaves no other roadblocks for the Catalan giant from completing this transfer move, whereas Hansi Flick would very much like to have his new left winger prepared as soon as possible for the upcoming season.
