Reports are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur have shaken hands with West Ham United over the £55m valuation of Premier League sensation Mohammed Kudus, as they are focusing on rebuilding their squad for the next season.

BBC Sport informs that the Ghana international is now expected to undergo all the medical tests before signing a long-term contract with the North Londoners.

However, it is being said that the negotiations didn't go smoothly during the initial stages, as Tottenham saw their initial £50m bid rejected on Saturday, but now the situation has stabilised, and both sides have reached a final agreement after that.

Why are Tottenham pursuing Mohammed Kudus?

Over the past couple of seasons, Mohammed Kudus has entertained the Premier League fans with his flair, but some experts believe that he is not highly rated, as he still needs to prove his worth.

As per Danny Murphy, Liverpool should have signed the West Ham talisman in this summer transfer window, as he believes that the Merseyside giants have overlooked a raw talent and Tottenham might have just played the most important masterstroke of this transfer window.

While last season, Kudus added 13 Premier League goals to his name after playing 65 matches for the Hammers, his career took a dip recently as the new West Ham manager Graham Potter didn't utilise him properly, as mentioned by some football experts, but they also believe that he can easily flourish in case he joins any other Premier League team.

Despite recent positivity in Kudus' transfer saga, Tottenham have already initiated pulling strings behind the scenes as they are plotting another move for the Brentford winger Yoanne Wissa, who is said to be one of those players that worked closely with Thomas Frank during his Brentford days.
