European champions PSG hammered Real Madrid 4-0 to march onto the final of the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup as the new era of the Galacticos under Xabi Alonso suffered its first defeat, with his team was completely tactically outclassed by Luis Enrique’s men.
The French giants got off to a stellar start with Fabian Ruiz pouncing on a loose ball inside the box, scoring past a helpless Thibaut Courtois just minutes before Ousmane Dembele added another beautiful goal to set the tone for his team.
Fabian Ruiz completed his brace with another well worked goal combining with Hakimi as the European champions had the Los Blancos rocking 3-0 right at the cusp of half time.
Real Madrid did try to get back into the game, with Kylian Mbappe coming close on two occasions facing his former club for the first time but apart from it PSG were under no threat by the Spaniards.
Enrique's men capped off their brilliant performance and domination with a fourth goal from substitute Goncalo Ramos late on, handing Madrid their second biggest loss in the last decade.
PSG v Real Madrid : Key Talking Points from the game
Paris Saint-Germain looked as dangerous as they were in the Champions League final against Inter Milan, as they completely dismantled Real Madrid’s defence. The French giants had an xG of 2.52 to Madrid's 0.71, showing the difference in performance on the night.
PSG have now won their last five knockout rounds in all competitions with a staggering aggregate score of 18-0.
Ballon d'or frontrunner Ousmanne Dembele once again proved his merit in a big game as he stepped up with an electrifying performance once again. He became the first player to be involved in two goals against Real Madrid in the first nine minutes of a game since 2002.

Meanwhile, it was a setback and a lot of learning for Xabi Alonso and his men. The team looked absolutely chaotic at the back without the presence of new signing Dean Huijsen, as Raul Ascencio and Toni Rudiger put up horrific displays at the back, making costly errors.
The full-back positions for the Los Blancos have been vulnerable for a few years now and against Paris Saint-Germain, it appeared to be tested to an even greater extent. The Spanish giants conceded two goals in the first nine minutes of the game for the first time since 2017 against Valencia.
Xabi Alonso will hope that all the defenders stay fit this season, especially Dean Huijsen, who has shown the ability to be calm in pressure situations unlike Ascencio. The Spanish manager will also be banking on the return of centre-back Eder Militao, who has been out injured for a long time now.
