African international and former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has finally been convicted of five counts of rape and sexual assault by the North London Metropolitan Police, having been accused of the same several times over the past few years.

While Partey has denied all the charges that were made against him, with his legal representatives stating, "He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name," many fans and experts all around the globe are convinced that the midfielder is guilty.

Arsenal have also released a statement regarding the same, which stated, "The player's contract ended on 30 June. Due to ongoing legal proceedings, the club is unable to comment on the case," which hinted at the club's beliefs also being against Partey's.

The chief investigator of Partey's case, Andy Furphy, released an official statement via which he said, "Our priority remains providing support to the women who have come forward. We would ask anyone who has been impacted by this case, or anyone who has information, to speak with our team. You can contact detectives about this investigation by emailing CooIT@met.police.uk." From the given statement, it looks clear that the police authority is doing everything possible by taking all the factors into consideration and still looking for hints to come forward with more evidence against the out-of-contract Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey.

The chief crown prosecutor for CPS London North, Jaswant Narwal, also stated, "The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised the prosecution of Thomas Partey for multiple counts of rape – after carefully reviewing a comprehensive file of evidence." (sic)

Later he added, "Our prosecutors have worked closely with officers in the Metropolitan Police who have carried out the investigation to review the evidence and advise on the appropriate charges. We remind everyone that criminal proceedings are active, and the defendant has the right to a fair trial.

He further stated, "We know there will be significant public interest in this announcement, but it is absolutely vital that there is no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online, which could in any way prejudice these proceedings." (sic)
