Tottenham Hotspur could part ways with the club captain and one of their biggest stars, Son Heung-Min, in the upcoming summer transfer window. 

In a shocking report from Transfer News Live, Spurs would be willing to let go of their ageing superstar if the right offer comes in for him. 

The 32-year-old's contract with the club runs down in the summer of 2026. 

As per Transfermarkt, Son’s current market value is €36 million, which has been decreasing now with every passing season due to his increasing age. 

Therefore, Tottenham could be planning to sell him till the time is right in order to gather funds to revamp their struggling squad. 

Can Tottenham really let go of Son?

Since his arrival back in 2015, Son has arguably been the most crucial player for Tottenham Hotspur, while being one of the most pivotal figures in the Premier League. 

Despite Harry Kane’s departure in 2023, Son's incredible impact, both on and off the pitch, made sure that Spurs don't miss their star striker. 

However, in a surprising turn of events, the Korean captain is experiencing one of his worst seasons with Tottenham, both individually and on a team level. 

Tottenham’s new lows this season indicate an imminent need for them to revamp their squad, a process that requires signing multiple new players while letting go of some of the existing ones. 

With Son's high wages and decreasing impact on the pitch due to his increasing age, Tottenham could be forced to let go of their legendary player in order to secure an improved and better future.
