Newcastle United’s star striker Alexander Isak has reportedly expressed his desire to join Liverpool amidst heavy speculations regarding his future.

The Swedish striker has been tipped to make a big-money move in the summer, with multiple European giants running in the race to sign him.

As per Goal, Arsenal, FC Barcelona, and Manchester United have shown interest in signing Isak in the summer transfer window, with Arsenal reported to have even made contact with the player's camp.

The latest reports from DeadlineDayLive, however, claim that Newcastle’s No. 9 is very keen on joining Arne Slot's Liverpool, with the Reds also reportedly exploring the possibility of making a move for the star striker in the summer.

Will Liverpool actually sign Isak?

Alexander Isak’s abilities, both on and off the ball, along with tremendous consistency, make him one of the best strikers in the world at the moment.

The Swedish striker has registered stunning numbers in the Premier League since joining the Magpies and has gone on to only improve with every season.

In the current league campaign so far, Isak has scored 17 goals and provided 5 assists in just 22 appearances, further skyrocketing his market value.

Newcastle’s asking price for their star forward poses a challenge for Liverpool, with reports from Sky Sports claiming that the club values Isak for a price close to €85 million.

Apart from the high ask, the Merseyside giants currently bolster a phenomenal attacking lineup, with 6 world-class forwards currently available at the manager's disposal, which makes a possible move for another attacker quite illogical.

However, with some reports claiming that Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez might leave in the summer, Liverpool would be forced to sign a forward, which will allow them to pursue and possibly sign the already interested Alexander Isak.
