Pep Guardiola believes that Manchester City can stun Arsenal in the Premier League title race

Pep Guardiola has warned Arsenal that Manchester City could still leapfrog the Gunners after a thrilling 2-1 win against Liverpool closed the gap at the top to just six points. 

Man City bagged two goals in just six minutes to complete a sensational comeback at Anfield and snatched all three points from Arne Slot’s men, sealing their first league double over the Reds in 89 years.

City can close the gap to three points with Arsenal if they defeat Fulham. With thirteen games to go, Mikel Arteta's side are just one slip-up away from losing ground at the top, which makes the title race intense.

Guardiola believes in the quality of his side, and with the current momentum, it is still possible to win the league. Manchester City will also play Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, which could potentially turn out to be the title decider this season. 

"We are six points behind. Okay, it is a big gap, but many things can happen, so it's better to have the three points,” Pep said. (sic)

"Who knows if six points is enough [for Arsenal], but 13 games is a lot and the FA Cup is coming, the Carabao Cup final too, the Champions League is back in March and injuries will happen.” (sic)

He further added, "There are also other teams playing for things, European positions, fighting against relegation, and playing against teams in a relegation battle, which means they are trying a lot to survive and it is a proper game. So 13 games, from experience, is a lot of time. It is so, so difficult, but the important thing is to be there.”  (sic)

Pep Guardiola heaps praises on Marco Silva ahead of Fulham clash

Pep Guardiola has predicted that Fulham boss Marco Silva will become one of the best managers in football in the coming years ahead of the clash against Fulham on Wednesday.

Manchester City will host the Cottagers at home and will aim to get all three points to mount some serious pressure on Arsenal at the top. In the reverse fixture, the Cityzens edged past Silva’s side 5-4 in a thrilling encounter.

Man City have won in their past 19 meetings with Fulham, and it is the longest winning run a team has achieved against a top-flight side in English football. However, the Cottagers have improved a lot under Marco Silva this season, which has even left Pep Guardiola impressed.

Fulham get better every season with the movements. With the patterns and quality they have, the composure with their play and the speed they have,” said Guardiola. (sic)

He further added, "Defensively and offensively, they are really good. Marco is one of the top, top managers I've faced. He is a top, top manager and has the destiny to be one of the top ones in a few years.”  (sic)
