"What was he thinking?!": Lamine Yamal faces legal action over his controversial birthday bash

FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal hosted his eighteenth birthday party at Olivella, a town near Barcelona, with the included guest list including famous YouTubers, influencers, models and some of his teammates at the club.

However, his special eighteenth birthday made it into the headlines for the wrong reasons, as it was alleged that Lamine hired a group of dwarfs as a source of entertainment. The Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain (ADEE) has condemned this incident, calling it “unacceptable in the 21st century”.

The Directorate General for People with Disabilities, which is a part of the Ministry of Social Rights in Spain, has filed a legal complaint against the 18-year-old to investigate this case and find out whether any rights of people with disabilities have been violated or not.

Contrary to these allegations, one of the entertainers, who claimed to be present at Lamine Yamal’s party, defended the footballer in an interview with Spanish radio station RAC1.

"No-one disrespected us; we worked in peace. I don't understand why there's so much hype. We're normal people who do what we want in an absolutely legal way. We work as entertainers. Why can't we do it? Because of our physical condition?” (sic), said the artist.

He further added, "We know what our limit is, and we will never exceed it: we are not fairground monkeys. It lasted one hour, and afterwards the entertainers joined in with the party. We dance, we distribute drinks, we do magic... There are many types of shows. Everyone had a great time.” (sic)

Lamine Yamal or any club official from FC Barcelona are yet to comment regarding this incident.

Spanish model claims to have turned down invitation to Lamine Yamal's party due to absurd demands

Lamine Yamal faced more backlash on social media after Spanish model Claudia Calvo posted a statement on social media, claiming to decline the invite to his 18th birthday party due to the "absurd" demands put forward by the Barcelona winger.

The Spanish model alleged that she was approached by organisers of Lamine’s party and was asked to help them bring twelve more women with specific physical features for the party. Claudia had refused the invitation because of the "creepy" nature of the requests made by the organisers.

As reported by Extra, the organisers focused on physical appearance, mainly based on breast size and hair colour, with blonde being the preferred one.

Calvo also claimed that each girl, including her, was offered $17,500 for 24 hours and also an exclusive credit card to spend during the birthday bash.

"Since I’ve been a nightclub waitress, I’ve met a few girls. I told them I was looking for these girls, and they said they were interested, but I mentioned that the organisers weren’t giving me any assurances about whether they should have any contact with any of the people who would be at the party,” said Claudia in an interview. (sic)
