Marcus Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season in the January transfer window after being exiled from Manchester United's first team squad by new manager Ruben Amorim because of disciplinary reasons.
Aston Villa also have an option to buy in Rashford's deal, with the purchase option activating at £40m, indicating that this could very well be the end of Rashford's journey with United, the club that he grew up playing for.
Amorim revealed that Rashford “didn't see football” the way he sees it. He felt that the Englishman was not "connecting to him properly.". The Portuguese coach also stated that he couldn't get the United No. 10 to adapt to his style of football.
Despite their issues, Ruben Amorim heaped praises on Rashford's talent and wished him luck for his future at Aston Villa.
Speaking to the media, he said, "I couldn't get Marcus to see the way you're supposed to play football and to train the way I see it.
He further added, “Sometimes you have one player that is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different. I wish the best to Rashford and to Unai Emery, and they can connect because he's a very good player.”
Unai Emery determined to revive Rashford's topsy-turvy career
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is determined to revive Marcus Rashford's career, stating that he is ready to take it as a “difficult challenge.”
The Spanish manager feels that the 27-year-old has a lot of talent and potential to become one of the world’s best.

Having not played since December, Rashford finally trained this week and is expected to be in Aston Villa’s squad to face Tottenham in the FA Cup.
Speaking to the media about Rashford, Emery said, "My challenge with him is a huge challenge. His challenge with us is exciting. I don't want to know the reason he is leaving from Manchester, but I am very happy keeping him here, and I am very happy to try to exploit and help him recover his performances, individually and collectively.”
He further added, "The conversation I had with him was a very normal conversation with a player and coach, speaking about football. I only want the best football from him. I think he has huge potential to exploit.”
Villa also signed Marco Asensio, Axel Disasi, Donyell Malen, and Andres Garcia alongside Rashford in the January transfer window to increase their squad depth.
