Premier League giants Manchester United are exploring options to sign RB Leipzig’s star forward Benjamin Sesko, who has emerged as a top target for Ruben Amorim, who is keen on bolstering his attack even more for the upcoming season.

After having secured the services of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, United’s focus has now shifted to a proper number nine, who offers physicality, accuracy, and creativity, which could help Ruben Amorim to tip the scales in his favour.

As per reports, the Red Devils are closely monitoring the situation of Benjamin Šeško with RB Leipzig, who has been tipped for a big-money move this summer. United's interest in Šeško is not new, as the English giants have been scouting him for a long time; however, the Slovenian international has chosen to stay back at RB Leipzig.

At the moment, Manchester United are making a shortlist of all suitable number nines, which even includes Nicolas Jackson and Ollie Watkins alongside Šeško.

Šeško back on Manchester United's radar: Can the Red Devils bring him to the Theatre of Dreams this time?

Once again, Manchester United have initiated negotiations with Benjamin Šeško and his camp, almost 12 months since they last approached, back when he decided to stay in Germany.

This time, however, United have a better chance of securing his move, as the Slovenian is reported to be "open for a new challenge", as per reports from Sky Sports.

Šeško's valuation this summer has risen to around €80 million (£69.3 million), and therefore, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will find common ground with RB Leipzig at the valuation or not, considering their hefty spendings in the current transfer market already.

Despite his high valuation, the Leipzig forward is highly sought after, as he is considered to be the most prolific forward under the age of 23 in Europe’s top five leagues, scoring a tremendous 27 league goals in the Bundesliga last season.

Therefore, it seems pretty clear that Ruben Amorim and co. would most likely find the solution to their long-standing striker problems in the form of Benjamin Šeško, who offers everything that the Red Devils are seeking in their new no. 9.
