Bayern Munich completed a remarkable comeback to beat Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena and clinched the Bundesliga title for a record 35th time, crowning themselves as the undisputed ‘Kings of Germany’.

The Bavarians needed just a point to secure the league title heading into this game after rivals Borussia Dortmund fell to a defeat at Hoffenheim on Saturday. Stuttgart, who are in the course of qualifying for the Champions League next season, stunned the home side with an early lead. However, the home side responded well after Raphael Guerreiro equalised.

Nicolas Jackson, who is on loan from Chelsea, put Bayern one goal up just two minutes later, completing a stellar comeback. Full-back Alphonso Davies added Bayern’s third goal of the night after receiving a brilliant cutback from Luis Diaz. Harry Kane added the fourth goal of the night after coming on, replacing Jamal Musiala.

The Englishman bagged his 32nd league goal of the season and is also leading the race for the golden boot. This victory means Vincent Kompany's side clinched Bayern's 13th league title in the last 14 seasons, demonstrating their dominance in German football.

They can also complete another historic treble as they're set to face Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals.

Kompany's side completely dominated this season and were the clear favourites right from the start of the season. They have lost just one game, and we knew they meant business when they started their campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig.

The frontline of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz has clicked perfectly, and they almost score goals at will. The Bavarians have already scored 109 goals and are already eight goals ahead of their previous best goalscoring record back in 1971-72.

The squad celebrated their league title by gathering in front of the South stand as they cherished the moment in front of their fans by soaking everyone up with beers, which is a custom of Bayern Munich. Kompany looked ecstatic as he pumped his fists with joy, and the fans responded with chants in his name.

It's been a long time since the Bayern fans felt such a connection with their manager, as it was evidently not there when Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann were in charge. Hansi Flick last felt such reception from the fans when his team won the treble back in 2020.

CEO Jan-Christien Dreesen has admitted that the team spirit is similar to that of the Bayern side under Jupp Heynckes, the 2013 treble-winning coach. Kompany has brought a change in belief within the club and has been quite calm while handling the pressure of managing such a big club.

Unlike Nagelsmann and Tuchel, Kompany's brand of football has dominated the league and is breaking all records. In 47 games this season, they've already scored 161 goals, which is a new record in the club's history.

Vincent Kompany could very well cement his name in the club's history if they clinch the treble this year. They have a big contest up next against Paris Saint-Germain, which will be a pretty intense game of attacking football, and they are the overwhelming favourites to clinch the DFB-Pokal against Bayer Leverkusen, who haven't been at their best this season and have constantly struggled in all competitions.

The 35-time champions have also improved their defence, especially after the addition of Jonathan Tah this season as they have conceded just 29 goals and if they win all of their remaining games, they'll equal the points bagged by Bayern's treble-winning team back in 2013

Harry Kane, who had been trophyless for so long in his career, is finally reaping the fruits of his labour at Bayern Munich. The English No. 9 has bagged consecutive Bundesliga titles at the club and is in contention to win the Ballon d'Or if the club wins the Champions League.

Kane has also delivered for them in the UCL, as he bagged important goals against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and has equalled the record as the highest-scoring Englishman in knockout stages of the competition, alongside Frank Lampard, with 15 goals.

"I could score 100 goals this season, but if I don't win the Champions League or the World Cup, you're probably not going to win the Ballon d'Or," said Kane earlier this season. (sic)

He added, "It's the same with any player. You have to be winning those major trophies.” (sic)

"In the way we play, we've learned and evolved over the last 12 months," said Kane. (sic)

He added, "A lot of people forgot it was Kompany's first year last year. We were still learning the way he wanted to play. We were still learning different ideas from him. We've really honed in on his ideas now, and for sure we're a better team this year than we were last year.” (sic)
