Chelsea are bracing themselves for what could be a blockbuster ending to their summer transfer window in the final few days before the market shuts. Striker Nicolas Jackson, who had mutually agreed to leave the club this summer, has caught the attention of Bayern Munich and Aston Villa, with both clubs preparing to make an offer for the 24-year-old.

Jackson's journey with Chelsea could finally be nearing its end after just over two years of association, following the arrival of the three prolific forward signings made by the club during the summer, namely Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, which pushed the Senegalese striker way down the pecking order for manager Enzo Marseca.

As a result, both Chelsea and Jackson had reached a mutual agreement to part ways this summer, with the Blues aiming to free up the 24-year-old striker's massive wages, which would help them get new players in the winter window as well.

To both parties' delight, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and London rivals Aston Villa have both shown a "serious interest" in Nicholas Jackson and are reportedly preparing to make a move for the striker.

Latest reports from Bavarian Football Works suggested that fresh talks between Bayern's club representatives and Jackson's camp were held today, as Vincent Kompany and co. aim to sign the 24-year-old in order to secure a suitable backup No. 9 for the mighty Harry Kane and also add the much-needed depth to their attack.

However, Chelsea are reported to be against the idea of sending the Senegalese on a loan move, as they plan on selling off the player this summer. As a result, the Blues are demanding an obligation-to-buy clause in Jackson's loan deal to Bayern, which has become a major hindrance for the German champions.

This has allowed Chelsea's London rivals Aston Villa to become the current frontrunners to land Nicholas Jackson, as they, unlike Bayern, are eyeing a permanent move for the worn-out Chelsea No. 9.

Although Villa's interest in a permanent move matches Chelsea's plans, an agreement still appears to be a distant dream for Unai Emery and co. due to the Blues' "unreasonable" asking price for Jackson, which is said to be well over £60 million.

"Uno reverse": Chelsea get slapped with an "outrageous" £50 million tag for Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea's pursuit of Manchester United's once golden boy has taken another hit after the Blues were served with a taste of their own medicine, as the Red Devils slapped an "outrageous" £50 million price tag on Alejandro Garnacho.

In this case as well, it is once again understandable why the club is now feeling discouraged to make a move. A £50 million asking price for a player who will most likely be a second-choice winger, along with his disciplinary issues at his current club, makes no sense.

Former France centre-back Frank Leboeuf also shared the same thought as us and stated, “He’s a great player, but you are going to pay between 50 and 60 million for a guy in a position where you already have the players that you need. I don’t see Garnacho adding something better than what they already have.” (sic)

The speculations for Garnacho's move to Chelsea had begun almost over a month ago, and the deal has continued to stall ever since, despite negotiations being held several times during the past weeks. However, now, with the final few days of the summer transfer window left, the saga will be reaching its end; the only question that remains is whether the move will go through or not.
