Inter Milan are considering a last-minute move for the colossal Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-Jae amidst the Korean's turbulent situation with the Bavarian giants. As per One Football, the Nerazzurri consider the 28-year-old a "top target" to strengthen their defence and ensure a strong start to the new campaign.

Apart from his defensive accolades, Min-Jae's experience in Serie A is also said to be the reason for Inter's strong interest, with the defender being an important part of the Scudetto-winning Napoli team in 2022/23, which was only his debut season in Italy.

The Korean's performance in that campaign was more than enough to attract interest from many big clubs, including Bayern Munich, who landed him just the following season. However, Kim Min-Jae's inconsistent performances and injury issues have created doubts around his future with the German champions, raising speculations for a move away from Munich for the 28-year-old.

Kim Min-Jae to Inter Milan: Is a deal actually possible?

As per several previously published reports, Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany had dropped Kim Min-Jae down the pecking order, which has raised serious doubts regarding his future at the club and hinted at an untimely exit.

Bayern signed Min-Jae for €50m from Napoli in 2023, which they will not be able to recoup if the Korean were to leave this summer, with reports indicating that the Bavarians could be forced to make a sale for around €25m, almost half the price of his acquisition.

However, contrary to the earlier reports, Chosun Biz has reported that Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich have decided to commit to Kim Min-Jae after his tremendous display in the Bundesliga opener against RB Leipzig on Saturday.

On top of that, Inter Milan would have to sell France international Benjamin Pavard and will make an offer only up to €20 million for Kim Min-Jae, which also creates a major hindrance for this deal to go through.
