Trent Alexander-Arnold has finally confirmed that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season to join Real Madrid, which has prompted the Reds to begin their search for his replacement.

As per reports by Fabrizio Romano, the 26-year-old will depart as a free agent and is set to join the new era of the Galácticos, with a deal expected to be announced in the coming days.

It'll be a mountain to climb for Arne Slot to prepare his team for the next season by finding and signing the right players in the summer, especially in the defence in order to replace Trent, as he aims to continue Liverpool's status as the best team in England.

The Merseyside giants’ incredible performance in the current campaign will surely allow them to attract the finest talents in the upcoming transfer window, with Slot having already confirmed that the club is set to have an active summer.

As the season nears its end, Liverpool have already identified multiple talented full-backs, such as Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, and Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina, to be potential successors for Alexander-Arnold at Anfield, while already having homegrown talent Connor Bradley in the squad.

Can Liverpool trust their ‘homegrown talent’ Conor Bradley for the right-back spot or look for better options in the market?

Liverpool’s 21-year-old academy graduate, Conor Bradley, has made a significant breakthrough into the first team, having put up tremendous displays against some of the strongest oppositions that the Reds faced this season.

Bradley certainly needs time to grow and convince the manager with consistency, which he did manage to do when Trent Alexander-Arnold was out injured, with his most significant performance coming against Real Madrid in the Champions League during that time.

While Bradley remains an option for Arne Slot, multiple reports claim that he and the club are likely to sign another advanced right-back in the summer, someone who's already an established name in the game along with a significant amount of experience.

As a result, Denzel Dumfries and Jeremie Frimpong are reported to be the top two targets for Liverpool, who are considered to be strong candidates to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Dumfries has proved his capabilities offensively for PSV, Inter Milan, and the Netherlands national team and can surpass Trent's output level with his tremendous work rate. However, he might not be the best candidate defensively, as like Trent, the Inter right-back is also vulnerable in one-on-one situations.

On the other hand, Jeremie Frimpong is seen as the ideal option for Liverpool by many pundits, as he's been phenomenal at Bayer Leverkusen for Xabi Alonso, impressing with his strong displays at both ends of the pitch.

It was even reported by reports from Deadline Day Live that the 24-year-old prefers a move to Anfield in the summer, which puts Liverpool ahead of rival clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, who are also keeping tabs on the talented full-back.
