Norwegian champions Bødo/Glimt continue their fairytale run in this season's Champions League as they scripted a historical 3-1 victory against last year's finalists Inter Milan. They have also stunned Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the league phase.
Jens Petter Hauge and Kapser Waarts Hogh bagged two goals in the second half to seal the deal for Bodo. Sondre Fet's opener gave the home side the lead in the 20th minute, which was later cancelled out by Francesco Pio Esposito’s equaliser.
This result is stunning for Bodo, as they've just beaten the Serie A leaders and the same club which has reached two finals in the last three editions of the Champions League. Playing in favourable home conditions, the home side defended brilliantly and were too quick on the break.
Inter had their chances in the first half, with Barella and Darmian coming close. Lautaro Martinez also hit the post, but in the second half it was all about defensive resilience from the home side, capping off a brilliant display of football, tactically outclassing Cristian Chivu’s side.
Atletico Madrid slump to a stalemate against Club Brugge in the Champions League play-offs

Club Brugge stunned Atletico Madrid, scoring a late equaliser as their Champions League playoffs stage leg one ended in a 3-3 stalemate. The visitors had taken a 2-0 lead at half time thanks to Julian Alvarez and Ademola Lookman.
Raphael Onyedika and Nicolo Tresoldi scored for the home side, equalising a topsy-turvy game. Atletico thought they had won it after Joel Ordonez’s own goal, but their efforts went in vain as Christos Tzolis scored a sensational goal to draw things level yet again.
Atleti looked confident right from the start with Lookman and Alvarez combining brilliantly. However, defensively, the Spanish giants were too slow, which was exposed by Brugge’s relentless pressure and quick counterattacks.
Diego Simeone's side have somewhat slumped after defeating FC Barcelona 4-0 in the Copa del Rey semi-final. Since that game, they lost 3-0 against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga and then drew against Club Brugge. Atleti have struggled against teams which defend deep and counter very quickly this season.
Club Brugge will travel to Madrid for the second leg on Tuesday, and the winners are set to face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur.
