Victor Osimhen is one of the most talked-about players in the transfer market, but his future is still not clear as several suitors have "lost interest" in signing him.

Last summer window, London giants Chelsea were close to striking a move for the Nigerian; however, the deal did not materialise on the deadline day due to his massive wage demands.

Having signed for Galatasaray on a season-long loan last summer, Osimhen had hoped to join one of his “dream clubs” this summer. The Nigerian even managed to surpass his superb previous goal-scoring form as he bagged 37 goals in just 41 appearances for the Turkish giants in his short tenure, impressing his suitors.

As per reports, the 26-year-old had been hoping to join either Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid or a Premier League club, which happens to be amongst his dream destinations. However, not a single top club in Europe seems to be interested in acquiring the services of Osimhen, even with an increasing demand for quality strikers in the transfer market.

As per reports, only Al-Hilal have expressed concrete interest in the Nigerian forward and are even willing to make him one of the highest-paid players on the planet as they prepare to offer him a mega deal.

Why are European clubs no longer interested in signing Victor Osimhen?

As the transfer window nears its end, Victor Osimhen has been left with no option but to move to Al-Hilal or sign a permanent deal at Galatasaray. His case is quite curious, as he was on the wish list of almost every top Premier League club last summer, and now suddenly no one wants to sign him.

One of the biggest reasons for the top clubs to back out is surely his wage demands, amounting to around €12 million a year, which is £300k a week. As per reports, Premier League giants like Chelsea and Manchester United are not willing to disrupt their wage bill and fall behind on the FFP margins, which will be the case if they acquire his services.

On top of that, his troublesome injury record at Napoli and his questionable attitude off the pitch have also reportedly prompted his suitors to think otherwise and move on to start exploring other options.

It's even less likely that Chelsea will go for him after signing Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and now even Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing the 26-year-old, as they are said to be already confident with their current squad.

Juventus, who were also once linked with the Nigerian international, have just signed Jonathan David on a free transfer, which ended their quest for a new striker there and then. What we have observed is that top clubs are willing to look for cheaper alternatives in today's market rather than going for the big stars who come with massive wage bills and egos.

The current situation has left Victor Osimhen with only two options – join Al-Hilal and become one of the highest-paid players on earth or stick with Galatasaray as the Turkish giants and continue playing in Europe while reducing his wage bills.
