The English Premier League has decided to introduce new changes in match presentation and broadcasting, which are set to be implemented from the upcoming season.
As reported by BBC Sport, it is being said that a round of interview sessions will be added during an ongoing match, where the substituted player will be interviewed on the sidelines with a special camera set to be equipped for this interview session.
Some believe that this decision is going to add more excitement, as the spectators can get a deeper insight about the game, whereas some believe that these sessions will disrupt the attention of the spectators from the actual match.
However, nothing has been confirmed by the Premier League in detail yet, but it is being said that the substituted players will be given the time to cool down before giving interviews.
The new Premier League changes: In detail
It all began with the new four-year domestic TV deal signed and agreed to by the Premier League, worth a staggering £6.6 billion, which will allow primary broadcasters like Sky Sports and TNT to broadcast 270 live games in a single season of the EPL.
There is no doubt that the English Premier League is one of the most famous and most-watched football leagues around the globe, and it seems that the football community will eventually receive these new modifications positively, as football has become more of an entertainment nowadays.
On top of that, the dressing room scenes as well as the on-field goal celebrations will also be covered with new angles, which will allow Sky and TNT to showcase more match footage and allow the fans to get more up close to their favourite teams and players.
