The Isak transfer saga takes a new twist
Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has made the final decision that he wishes to commit his future elsewhere rather than to the Magpies, as fresh reports are suggesting that the striker has no plans of reintegrating into Eddie Howe's squad.
As per reports, even if the 25-year-old fails to secure a move to Liverpool this summer, he will not be a part of the coming season and will continue to train separately to prepare for a possible move in January or next summer.
On top of that, The Athletic is claiming Liverpool are preparing to make an improved offer for Alexander Isak in the coming days as they remain firmly interested in the Swedish striker. Apart from that, the Magpies are also expected to soften their asking price for Isak and could now be willing to accept an offer in the range of £130m-£140m.
Malick Thiaw completes his £35m move from AC Milan
Newcastle United announced Malick Thiaw's £35m signing from AC Milan yesterday, after the centre-back signed a six-year deal with the club.
In his first interview after signing for Newcastle United, Thiaw expressed his delight and excitement at signing for the Magpies and getting an opportunity to play in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old stated, "I'm really excited to join this massive club. I can't wait to start training and to get to know my new teammates and all the staff. The gaffer showed me his vision and what he wants to do with me as a player and the club itself, which is really exciting.
He further added, "I think Newcastle speaks for itself. It's a great club, a big club with passionate fans who I can't wait to see at St James' Park," as reported by BBC Sport.
AS Monaco want Kieran Trippier
While the fans are busy spectating the fate of Isak's transfer saga, another story has stirred up the transfer market, as AS Monaco have shown concrete interest in signing veteran England international and Newcastle United's vice-captain Kieran Trippier.
It is being reported that the French giants have even started negotiations with the Magpies for the 34-year-old defender, who has just one year left on his contract at St. James' Park.
With Tino Livramento expected to be the first-choice right-back for Eddie Howe in the coming season, the limited minutes could persuade Trippier to join the French side, who are reportedly guaranteeing him regular gametime as a part of their deal.
Newcastle United reach verbal agreement to sign Jacob Ramsey
As per Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle United have reached a verbal agreement to sign Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa, with the player agreeing to all personal terms offered by the Toons. A deal worth up to £40m is currently being finalised between both the clubs, but an agreement seems almost guaranteed.
Ramsey will come in as an attempt for Eddie Howe to boost his weakened attack for the coming campaign, after losing both his strikers this summer and failing to sign a new one so far.
Newcastle monitor Leicester City's Bilal El-Khannouss
Newcastle and Howe have identified Leicester's attacking midfield general Bilal El-Khannouss as a top target for the coming days of the summer transfer window. The Magpies have reportedly been monitoring the Moroccan's situation at Leicester since last week.
As per Mirror UK, El-Khannouss has a £24.5m release clause in his contract with Leicester City, which is currently being considered by Newcastle, whose interest in the 21-year-old is quite serious.
