Liverpool FC are reportedly eyeing a move for the Real Madrid target in order to find a potential replacement for their star player, Andrew Robertson.
The veteran full-back has been a topic of criticism for the Reds this season, due to his moments of struggle in the defence this season.
While his numbers haven't been that bad, the fans and pundits have started to point out incidents where Robertson’s deteriorating physical condition, mainly pace and aerial ability, has costed Liverpool as they ended up conceding goals.
Even though many fans still consider Robertson to be an integral part of the team, his increasing age could become a matter of concern for the Reds, as he struggles to find form.
As a result, Liverpool have begun their search for their star player's backup and potential replacement, with one player appearing to have caught their attention.
Liverpool target Ajax’s wonderkid Jorrel Hato
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have been monitoring the Ajax wonderkid, Jorrel Hato, aiming to make a move for the young full-back before the January transfer window closes.
TEAMtalk also reports that Liverpool are looking to sign Hato on a loan deal for now and will then decide whether to go for a permanent deal for the 18-year-old defender or not in the summer, based on his performances for them.

The Reds' interest in Hato seems very understandable, as the Dutch full-back has stood out as one of Ajax’s best players this season, despite his young age.
However, Liverpool would have to compete with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea, who are also looking to persuade the 18-year-old in order to get his signature on their respective offers.
