Cristiano Ronaldo has officially played his last match in his thirties, with the Portuguese superstar turning 40 today.

Ronaldo’s brace guided Al-Nassr to an emphatic 4-0 win against Al-Wassr in the AFC Champions League Elite last night, taking them up to the 3rd spot in the West Zone points table.

The Portugal captain has now scored 19 goals and provided 3 assists in just 22 appearances across all competitions this season, bolstering another strong start to a campaign.

With his 2 goals, CR7 also took a couple of steps closer to the unbelievable milestone of 1,000 goals in professional football by scoring his 921st and 922nd goal.

A tale of two unbelievable careers merged into one: Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible legacy

Cristiano Ronaldo ended his thirties in the most spectacular fashion, with a brilliant headed goal. The big coincidence is that the Portuguese superstar ended his twenties as well in the same manner, by scoring a wonderful headed goal.

Ronaldo ended yet another year of his life by achieving the 50-goal mark, as he ended his 39th year with 50 goals in just 57 games.

With CR7 turning 40 today, fans have been left stunned by his performance in the last decade, calling his illustrious career “a tale of two unbelievable careers merged into one.”

As per OneFootball, the G.O.A.T. from Portugal scored a breathtaking 460 goals in 543 appearances in the last 10 years, which is just 3 less than the number of goals he had scored before his thirties (463).

It surely seems like if two individuals could separately achieve Ronaldo's stats, in his thirties and before his thirties, respectively, both of them would end up with phenomenal careers.
