Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in Al Nassr's thrilling 3-1 victory over Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League. This remarkable feat has made Al Nassr reach the fourth place in the league table. Right now, they currently stand 11 points behind the league leaders. Al-Khaleej, who currently stand 8th in the Saudi Pro League, were reduced to 10 men on the field in the 34th minute only.
An early second-half goal by Ronaldo at 65’ was equalised with a penalty by Kostas Fortounis at the 80th minute. Al-Khaleej, however, wasn’t able to celebrate this equaliser as Al Nassr once again came into the lead only after a minute. A late Ronaldo goal in the 98th minute sealed the deal for Al Nassr.
Ronaldo’s contributions in the match lead to the breaking of several more records, something which is not new for the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo achieves rare feat that only Lionel Messi could before
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the greatest players of all time, have had many legendary battles in their extraordinary careers. Both of them have smashed almost every possible record in the game while even breaking and matching each other's records and achievements. The same has happened again this time, with Ronaldo achieving a rare feat that only Messi had done before.
According to Bolavip, Ronaldo has now contributed to over 100 goals/assists for every club where he has played more than 70 games, a feat that Lionel Messi was only able to accomplish at Barcelona and PSG.
Legit.ng reports that Ronaldo's goal tally now stands at 13 in the Saudi Pro League, making him the leading scorer in the competition, surpassing Al Hilal's Aleksandar Mitrovic. Ronaldo's performance has also brought him closer to the elusive 1,000-goal milestone, a feat that he has been very publicly aiming to achieve before hanging his boots.
There have been reports that Ronaldo has been offered a ‘multi-million’ contract extension at Al Nassr, which will reportedly see the Portuguese superstar earn €550,000 every single day, according to Goal.com. Time will tell what happens, but as of now, Ronaldo seems to have his future set.
