According to reports, Harry Kane's journey at Bayern Munich will continue for several more years. The England captain is set to begin formal talks with Bayern about a new contract, as the club wants to extend one of the world's most prolific goal scorers.

Kane is under contract until 2027, and he earns approximately €480,769 per week. Max Eberl, the club's sporting director, confirmed that talks are underway to secure his future in Bavaria.

Bayern want to resolve Kane's contract situation before the new season begins, as they do not want any uncertainty surrounding their best player going into the season. Last season, Harry Kane had one of his best performances for the Bavarian giants, scoring 64 goals and assisting eight times in just 56 appearances.

Since joining the club in 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur, the 33-year-old has achieved numerous milestones in his stellar career. He has won the Bundesliga Golden Boot in each of his three seasons at the club, as well as consecutive Bundesliga titles and the DFB-Pokal, putting an end to years of ridicule about his lack of cutlery.

Bayern wants to keep him not only for his ability to score more goals, but also for his overall influence on the pitch. Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern's game revolves around Kane. He frequently drops deep into the midfield to link up with the midfielders, creating opportunities and space for other forwards to capitalise.

The 33-year-old is the focal point of Bayern's attack, and his ability to work with others, particularly Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, and Luis Diaz, makes him one of the most efficient forwards and perhaps irreplaceable.

Kane finished among Europe's top goalscorers last year and led England to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he scored six goals. Despite the Three Lions' heartbreaking semi-final loss to Argentina, Kane demonstrated why he is one of the standout performers.

The Bundesliga champions also rely on Kane's leadership, which is necessary to help young players like Jamal Musiala and Aleksander Pavlovic. The 33-year-old's consistency and experience will help Bayern compete for domestic and European titles each season.

There has been speculation that Kane will return to either La Liga or the Premier League to break Alan Shearer's all-time goalscoring record. With over 200 Premier League goals under his belt, it's a realistic goal if he ever returns to England.

However, reports indicate that neither Bayern nor Kane are considering a move, and the forward is settled in Germany. The 33-year-old has previously expressed his happiness in Munich, and Bayern see him as one of the club's faces both on and off the pitch.

For Kane, remaining at Bayern allows him to compete for the UEFA Champions League every season, a trophy he has yet to win in his career. After finally overcoming his lack of silverware, he has the opportunity to win more Bundesliga titles and compete in the Champions League against one of Europe's best teams.

Bayern Munich and Harry Kane have worked out perfectly, and while there were initial doubts about the Englishman's ability to replace Robert Lewandowski, he has done so quite efficiently, and the numbers speak for themselves.

With formal talks on a new contract underway, Bayern have made it clear that they want Kane to remain the team's leader in the future.
