While other clubs are busy chasing after big names in Europe, Bayern Munich have managed to identify a hidden midfield gem from South America, who has certainly caught some eyeballs.

Renowned sources are claiming that Chilean international Felipe Loyola has caught Bayern’s attention with his consistent performances for Club Atlético Independiente, convincing the soon-to-be Bundesliga champions to make a lucrative offer to sign the Chilean midfielder in the summer.

South American football expert Cesar Luis Merlo has claimed that the deal for Loyola between Bayern and Independiente is in the final stages and is expected to be sealed in the upcoming days.

Who is Bayern Munich’s next midfield signing?

Loyola joined Independiente last summer from Chilean club Huachipato for just €1.65m and witnessed his tremendous rise on Argentina’s magical soil.

Within a span of just under a year, the Chilean managed to become one of Independiente’s most important players, which ultimately resulted in him getting attention from one of the biggest clubs in the world. His crucial displays for the Argentine club also saw a dramatic rise in his transfer value.

According to Goal, the Bavarian giants are ready to close the deal for the 24-year-old at a €20 million offer, where this transfer fee will be distributed to Loyola’s former club Huachipato as well, having joined Independiente just eight months ago.

Loyola’s work-rate and versatility in the midfield will certainly help Vincent Kompany in building a strong midfield for the upcoming season as he currently deals with the struggles of Joao Palinha and Leon Goretzka at the middle of the pitch this season.
