Kevin De Bruyne announced his departure from Manchester City at the end of the current campaign last month, which has alerted several European as well as many overseas clubs, making him arguably the focal point of the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per multiple reports, clubs like Al-Nassr, Inter Miami, and Como have shown strong interest in securing De Bruyne’s signature, whereas Premier League clubs like Aston Villa have plunged into the ring for the Belgian midfield maestro.
There is no doubt that the 33-year-old Belgian has entertained the Premier League fans for quite a long period of time and will love to continue to do so if he gets the right opportunity at the end of his Man City career, which could be provided to him by Villa.
As reported by Sky Sports, De Bruyne is open to any project that will suit his aspirations and where he will be able to find a comfortable lifestyle for his family.
However, it has been further reported that the star midfielder would prefer to stay on English soil for a couple of more years, indicating his desire to still play at the highest level.
Aston Villa: The ideal next destination for Kevin De Bruyne
It surely seems that Aston Villa will be a very suitable destination for Kevin De Bruyne, influenced by a couple of major factors which put the London-based club ahead of other clubs in the race to sign the 33-year-old superstar.
On top of this, Villa haven’t left any stones unturned, as they already held internal discussions with the player and his camp and are reportedly quite excited to get the deal done at the end of this season.
According to Sky Sports, Chicago Fire, NYCFC and D.C. United are some of the MLS (Major League Soccer) sides that have explored the possibility of signing KDB and made enquiries over his financial expectations as well.
Apart from the Americans, Saudi clubs such as Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ittihad have also made enquiries regarding the Manchester City playmaker in order to secure a deal for him after his City days.
However, De Bruyne’s recent performances have indicated that the Belgian has still got what it takes to play in Europe, which suggests that the 33-year-old will surely be aiming to continue playing at the highest level, preferably in the Premier League, which makes Aston Villa an ideal destination for him.
