Bayern Munich have qualified for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 with an aggregate score of 2-1 against Scottish giants, Celtic, thanks to Alphonso Davies' injury-time equaliser on the night.
Bayern’s performance was subpar as per the high standards set by the club, with them being extremely lucky to not be thrashed by the visitors and knock them out of the competition in front of their own crowd.
Just like their previous encounter in the first leg, Celtic were relatively the better side and squandered multiple opportunities to bury the tie in the first half itself.
They accumulated an xG of 1.12 last night, with Nicolas Kühn giving them a deserved lead following a brilliant assist from Maeda.
The Bavarians, however, kept mounting the pressure in the second half, with Celtic parking the bus in order to preserve their one-goal lead on the night and being level on aggregate.
Celtic were just two minutes away from dragging the tie into extra time while also creating history, as they would have become the first-ever Scottish team to beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in a game of ninety minutes.
However, Alphonso Davies came in clutch for the hosts, as he pounced on a loose ball scrambled in the Celtic box and buried it brilliantly to secure his team a place in the knockout stages of this season's Champions League.
“Worst Bayern side in decades”: Fans furious at their team's performance
Bayern Munich are currently the league leaders in the Bundesliga but their performances have not impressed the fans at all.
Vincent Kompany's side have been relatively poor on several occasions this season in comparison to the previous seasons, sparking outrage and doubts amongst many fans of the club.
Despite several big signings, the Bavarian giants finished 12th in the Champions League league stage, failing to secure a direct qualification in the RO16.

The team has been heavily relying on individual brilliance from their attacking trio, Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala.
It seems to be the case on many occasions that Bayern appear to be very clueless when these three fail to provide them with a spark.
The quote, "Possession without penetration is useless," as said by the legendary Jose Mourinho, sums up Vincent Kompany's Bayern team, particularly this season.
The German giants have often made themselves appear too predictable for their opponents, which makes it quite easy for them to counter it and take advantage of their weak links.
