The Premier League is ready to conduct its first double-gameweek of the season, with league leaders Arsenal set to play two fixtures this week, including the away game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in the North London derby. The Gunners' qualification for the Carabao Cup final led to their double fixtures in the upcoming gameweek 26.

With one game against a struggling Tottenham Hotspur, who have conceded 10 goals in their last 5 league games, and an away visit to Brentford for their second game of the week, the Fantasy Premier League managers seem very tempted to play their Triple Captain chip, trusting some of the in-form Arsenal assets.

Mikel Arteta's men have consistently provided returns at both ends of the pitch this season, but their defence in particular has been phenomenal yet again, having registered 13 clean sheets in just 25 games. With the introduction of DEFCON points as well, Arsenal's defensive assets also make a very strong case for Triple Captain, rivalling their attacking teammates for the chip.

Which are the best Arsenal assets for your Fantasy Premier League Triple Captaincy chip?

1) Viktor Gyökeres - £8.7m - FWD

Arsenal's new star signing has managed to settle in quickly, becoming the club's highest goalscorer in all competitions this season with 13 goals in 32 appearances. The Swedish striker has also begun 2026 in superb form, scoring the joint-most number of goals (6) by Premier League players in all competitions. While Gyökeres secured 19 points in the previous 2 matches against Sunderland and Leeds United, respectively, his record against established PL sides has been surprisingly poor in comparison to his record against the promoted teams, which is a major argument against his captaincy for the upcoming double-GW.

2) Gabriel - £7.1m - DEF

The strongest weapon in Mikel Arteta's Arsenal this season has surely been his towering Brazilian centre-back, who has been the club's highest-scoring player in the Fantasy Premier League this season. On top of his tremendous 13 clean sheets and 156 defensive contributions, Gabriel has also racked up 3 goals and 2 assists so far thanks to Arsenal's set-piece prowess, giving him a tremendous chance to provide returns at both ends of the pitch. However, with both Tottenham and Brentford looking in sharp attacking form, backing Gabriel for the Triple Captain chip can be a very high-risk, high-return move for the managers.

3) Kai Havertz - £7.3m - FWD

Surely a very risky one, but Kai Havertz could potentially be a surprising yet massive differential pick for the Triple Captain armband, with the German making a strong return to the team after his long-term injury. In the absence of captain Martin Ødegaard, Havertz appears to have almost a 100% guarantee to start, having already started in 3 out of the 4 games he has played since his return. In the meantime, the 26-year-old has registered 2 goals and 2 assists, which is the highest amongst Arsenal players in the same period.

4) Jurrien Timber - £6.4m - DEF

Arsenal's highest attack-providing defender also makes a strong case for the Triple Captain armband, with 2 goals and 4 assists this season so far, along with 118 defensive contributions and 12 clean sheets. Some might believe that Timber can be a better pick for the triple captain chip than his defensive partner Gabriel due to his more advanced role as full-back, potentially giving him a higher chance to provide attacking returns to his risk-loving backers.
