Manchester United, who experienced arguably their worst ever season in the modern era, might have to deal with yet another major blow as Al-Hilal continue their push to sign United’s star captain, Bruno Fernandes.
As per reports, Al-Hilal are prepared to offer a mega €300m deal to Manchester United in order to seal the Portuguese’s move to Saudi Arabia. The €300m includes a €100m+ bid along with the wages and bonuses that the Saudi giants are willing to offer Fernandes.
While Ruben Amorim stated in a recent press conference that his captain is set to stay put, the latest reports along with Fernandes’ cryptic post might be indicating a major twist in this transfer saga.
Is Bruno Fernandes off to Saudi Arabia?!
As per the Daily Mail, Bruno Fernandes’ agent was spotted in Riyadh to discuss the transfer prospect with Al-Hilal’s representatives. Chris Wheeler from The Daily Mail further revealed, “His agent held face-to-face talks with Al-Hilal at a hotel in Riyadh on Thursday night over a mega-money deal for the United captain”. (sic)
He further added, “It is noted that the fact his representative travelled to Riyadh is an intriguing twist, especially considering talks at the Four Seasons hotel are believed to have continued late into the night . (sic)
While the reports have majorly hinted at the possibility of the move actually going through, Fernandes’ recent Instagram story sparked even more doubts regarding his future at Manchester United.

In a story posted yesterday, the 31-year-old shared an image of a quote which said, “If you tried and failed, congratulations! There are people who don’t even try.” (sic)
United fans on X reacted to this story and said that they “feel convinced” that Bruno Fernandes is set to leave United and join Al-Hilal in the coming days.
Despite the team failing miserably throughout the entire season, the 30-year-old maestro continued his excellence on the pitch, registering a staggering G/A of 38 in all competitions, saving the Red Devils on many occasions where others failed to, which clearly showcases how crucial he is to the team.
Manchester United legend Wes Brown gave his opinion on the entire saga, stating, “Man United have got to make a decision about Bruno Fernandes. From the manager’s point of view, he’ll want him to stay because he’s a big part of his squad and the player they can build the team around.”
However, on the contrary, many pundits believe that Man United should seriously consider taking the deal and the whopping amount of money to deal with their poor financial situation while also using the funds on a much-needed rebuild.
