With Gameweek 6 of the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League approaching, all the managers have an opportunity to climb their mini-leagues by targeting favourable fixtures, reliable goal scorers and in-form players who will deliver points because that is what matters.

While the biggest decision lies around the captaincy, Erling Haaland remains the top option for it, while Bruno Fernandes or Martin Odegaard offer a decent alternative, as Arsenal's fixture is easy, due to which their defenders are also worth picking.

Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United also have favourable fixtures this gameweek against Crystal Palace and Coventry City, respectively, which makes their players valuable assets.

Formation: 4-5-2

GK: David Raya, £6.1m (Arsenal)

Arsenal's no. 1 is the most owned goalkeeper in the Fantasy Premier League, and Arsenal have kept the most number of clean sheets as well. Leeds United have scored just one goal in their past two gameweeks, which gives a huge advantage to Raya securing points in FPL this gameweek.

Defenders:

Riccardo Calafiori, £5.6m (Arsenal)

The Gunners' full-back has bagged two assists already in just five appearances and is likely to grab a clean sheet against Leeds United, which is a favourable fixture for the Premier League champions.

Lewis Hall, £5.3m (Newcastle United)

Newcastle face a favourable opposition, Coventry City this gameweek, and the Englishman has produced two double-figure returns in his last four games, making him a top pick for this week as well.

Kristoffer Ajer, £4.5m (Brentford)

The Norwegian pillar for Brentford has been immense this season, and the Bees managed to keep a clean sheet against one of the most elite attacks this season, Chelsea. He is also a threat from the set pieces, a decent pick at such a low price.

Murillo, £5.5m (Nottingham Forest)

Murillo excels in clearances, tackles, and recoveries, making him a strong contender for points under FPL scoring,, and also has frequently delivered assists last season. A top pick considering they face an underperforming Palace this week.

Midfielders:

Bruno Fernandes, £12.0m (Manchester United) (Captain)

Bruno Fernandes could be an interesting midfield option for Fantasy Premier League managers heading into Gameweek 6. The Manchester United captain’s appeal lies in his ability to create chances, contribute to goals and remain involved in his side’s attacking play, and he's also the first-choice penalty taker.

Martin Odegaard, £6.8m (Arsenal)

Up next against a favourable opposition, the Arsenal captain’s creativity, vision and ability to unlock compact defences make him an important figure in the Gunners’ attacking build-up. He has bagged 2 assists in 5 games.

Kevin Schade, £6.0m (Brentford)

Kevin Schade could be a valuable differential for Fantasy Premier League managers seeking an attacking option without spending heavily on premium forwards. The young lad has scored 3 goals in his last 5 appearances in the Premier League and is a top pick for this week.

Pascal Gross, £5.9m (Brighton)

The German midfielder has scored 47 points in the opening 5 game weeks and is one of the top performers of the FPL this season so far. He delivered double-figure returns against Chelsea, Arsenal and Coventry, making him a top pick for this week as well.

Harvey Barnes, £6.1m (Newcastle United)

Newcastle’s winger faces newly promoted Coventry this week. Barnes has bagged one goal and three assists over the last three gameweeks, amassing 23 points in that spell, making him a top pick for this week as well.

Forwards:

Erling Haaland, £15.6m (Manchester City)

The Norwegian has scored in his last four visits against Liverpool. Against a tough opposition like Liverpool, giving captaincy would be a bit difficult but definitely a top pick considering he's someone who returns points most of the time.

Gonzalo Garcia, £6.0m (Fulham)

Fulham travel to Ipswich, who have conceded 11 goals so far and haven't kept a clean sheet as well. Garcia is the focal point of the Cottagers’ attack and could find the net in the league for the first time this week making him an interesting pick.
