Victor Osimhen will reportedly leave Galatasaray in the summer after his season-long loan deal with the Turkish giants ends.
As per Football Transfer, Galatasaray had made an official bid to Osimhen’s parent club, Napoli, in an attempt to sign the Nigerian striker permanently.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Turkish club made an official bid of £65 million, which was rejected by Napoli as they stand firm on their decision of letting Osimhen go only if his £75 million release clause is paid.
Galatasaray eventually backed off from the deal as the huge release clause felt “impossible” for them to trigger.
As a result, the club had already begun to plan their future without Osimhen, with reports from Fabrizio Romano now informing that they have already reached an agreement with a star striker to replace the 26-year-old.
Galatasaray set to sign Alvaro Morata from AC Milan to replace Victor Osimhen
According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray had identified the veteran, Alvaro Morata, as the ideal replacement for Osimhen, with the club now reported to reach an agreement with Milan to sign him.
An initial loan deal, with an option to extend for 1 more year, has been agreed upon by both clubs. The deal also includes a buy clause, which will allow Galatasaray to make Morata's move permanent if they want to.

The 32-year-old striker, who just moved to Milan at the beginning of the current campaign, will leave the Rossoneri after having spent just one season with them.
According to Marca, Morata has been feeling unhappy with the new manager, Sérgio Conceição, whose fierce and aggressive nature has reportedly set off a few other players at AC Milan as well.
It was even reported a while back that Morata and Conceição even got into a heated argument, which has also been reported to have heavily contributed to the Spanish striker’s decision of a premature departure from San Siro.
