England's top scorer, Harry Kane, is one of their most valuable assets, along with Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers. Thomas Tuchel is a proven winner, and his appointment has changed the Three Lions' mentality. The centre-back partnership is currently being questioned, particularly against elite teams where experience counts because a single defensive error can cost a team the World Cup.

England is also under psychological pressure because it has previously faced similar situations. In previous tournaments where they entered as favourites, they dominated until they faced strong opposition. Their failure to defeat strong teams in crucial moments has haunted several generations of English fans. In addition, the media will exert enormous pressure. Every poor result is criticised by the media, and players are targeted on social media. As a result, it may be difficult if the players are distracted by outside noises during the World Cup.

Harry Kane: England's Greatest Asset heading into the World Cup 

If England makes a memorable run or wins the World Cup, Harry Kane will undoubtedly play a key role. The Three Lions captain arrives in the best shape of his career, having had a fantastic season with Bayern Munich. After adding trophies to his cabinet since joining the German club, the 32-year-old will now aim to add the elusive Ballon d'Or trophy, cementing his status as one of England's greatest strikers.

Furthermore, Kane offers more than just goals. As we've seen in Bayern Munich and England before, he can drop deep to link up with midfielders, create space for others, and dictate the team's tempo up front. He also has the ability to deliver in critical moments. In a mostly young squad, he provides leadership, which is essential in a tournament like the World Cup.

Verdict

England have every reason to believe they can win the World Cup. The squad is loaded with talent at every position, and Thomas Tuchel's coaching experience provides a winning mindset that they lacked in previous tournaments. However, whether or not they bring football home will be determined by their ability to perform in big games, which they have lacked in previous tournaments.
