Ousmane Dembélé has transformed himself as the new king of PSG.

Ousmane Dembélé, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from FC Barcelona last summer, had built a reputation of being called a “failed potential” during his time in Spain.

The 27-year-old struggled with injuries and was heavily criticised for inconsistency playing for the Catalan giants, despite being their joint-most expensive signing ever.

However, Ousmane Dembélé has turned his career around since joining the Parisians, becoming the poster boy of the club under Luis Enrique.

The Frenchman has taken his fair share of time to get settled into the club, as he scored only 6 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances for the Parisians last season.

However, this season, Dembélé has been on fire, transforming himself into an absolute goal machine, scoring 23 goals and providing 5 assists in just 30 appearances this season for PSG, being the biggest attacking threat in Luis Enrique’s tactical system.

Former FC Barcelona manager Xavi once praised the 27-year-old winger's abilities and potential by saying, "When used properly, he (Dembélé) could be the best player in the world.”

After witnessing Dembélé's spectacular comeback this season, it seems very clear that the Spanish manager wasn't kidding.

Paris Saint-Germain have become one of the favourites to lift the Champions League this season thanks to Dembélé and co.

Despite not securing a direct qualification into the UCL Round of 16 after a subpar performance in the league stage, PSG have now become one of the top favourites to lift the prestigious trophy this year.

The Parisians brushed aside Brest 7-0 in the second leg of the Champions League knockout playoff, winning the tie 10-0 on aggregate to march on to the Round of 16.

Luis Enrique has done a brilliant job in transforming his team, despite the departure of one of their biggest superstars, Kylian Mbappé.

The French giants have impressed in their league campaign so far, being at the top of the Ligue 1 points table with 56 points, being 10 points clear of Marseille, who are in second place.

One of the main reasons for PSG’s success and incredible form recently has been their new front trio, comprising Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Bradley Barcola, has been on fire since Kvaratskhelia's arrival, destroying every opposition they're facing on the way.

The team looks balanced in every department with a mix of experience and youth, and with a world-class manager like Enrique, PSG possesses the ability to challenge the top clubs of Europe for the prestigious Champions League trophy that has eluded them so far.
