After a decade-long dominance in Europe, Kevin De Bruyne is on the verge of leaving Manchester City when his contract expires following this campaign in the upcoming summer.

The 33-year-old has struggled with injuries in the previous two seasons that have impacted his performance massively.

Because of De Bruyne’s recent struggles, even Pep Guardiola has urged the City captain to “be honest” about himself and his future, increasing the possibilities of a potential departure for the Belgian international.

As per Sky Sports, Pep Guardiola wants to bring up an evolution system at Manchester City, with certain players deemed not to fit the bill for next season and being planned to be let go in the summer transfer window.

KDB has always adapted and cemented his spot in the team, often carrying Man City to greater heights, being the club's highest ever assist provider with 168 assists, while also netting 105 goals.

The 33-year-old has won 6 Premier League trophies, 5 League Cups, 2 FA Cups, 2 Community Shield trophies, and 1 Champions League title with City, making him the club's most decorated player ever.

What next for Kevin De Bruyne after Manchester City?

Plenty of clubs have opened their eyes and are on alert regarding the KDB situation.

Top European clubs like Real Madrid and FC Barcelona could also become a likely destination for the Belgian maestro.

Despite his age, his experience and brilliance make him a top target for many clubs.

Several clubs from Saudi Arabia and MLS are also showing interest in the six-time Premier League champion.

De Bruyne has proven his doubters wrong and cemented his name in the history of the Premier League.

His name comes up naturally when we talk about midfield greats like Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes, and Dennis Bergkamp.

His potential next destination could also be one of CFG’s (City Football Group) networks, which comprises clubs like New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, and Mumbai City FC, to name a few.
